History

Founded in 1976 by Vinu Patel, Ed DiVila and Larry Pomasan, a small custom cable assembly shop was created called Ace Electronics. Each with their own unique capabilities in engineering, manufacturing/design support and sales development; have launched Ace into becoming one of the Northeast's premier custom cable manufacturers, electronic component and premise products suppliers. The business has been built on solving their customer's cable and interconnect problems, while maintaining their commitment to integrity, honesty, and continually searching for innovative solutions. Throughout the years they have remained true to this business strategy and to the principles upon which we were founded.

By 1984, the owners moved into a leased building and were staffed with office and manufacturing personnel. Within five years they were staffed with four sales people, two office support and twenty assembly technicians to help increase business in their primary markets of telecommunications and automotive/robotics.

In 1995, they purchased the current facility they are in, which has 17,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse/office space. In this facility Ace was able to become a stocking distributor for major premise wiring products enabling the company to sell installation services. As sales began to grow, so did their business markets which expanded to include pharmaceutical/medical, OEM markets, financial institutions and installation contractors. Our reputation began to get noticed on our superior customer service and engineering support with around 90% of new customer base coming from just referrals.

The company then opened a second facility in 1998 in Troy, MI to help support and grow automotive sales. The customer base grew to include GM, Ford, Chrysler and robotic tool manufactures for the equipment that goes on the assembly lines at the plants.

In 2002, Ace began to increase business further with focusing on the Defense Market. Targeting primarily on Army Programs first, they were able to capture prime government contracts within a 5 year timeframe valuing over 50 million dollars. By 2006, Ace hired additional sales people to branch out into Marines and Navy customer base.

Finally by 2008, we were able to open a third manufacturing facility and introduced our Robotic and Defense Production Facility, again in Troy MI. With over 19,000 sq feet of manufacturing space this facility's primary focus is to support high rate production runs and integrate vehicle equipment.

Maintaining this philosophy in all aspects of our company is something we strive for on a day to day basis as well as increasing our customer base.

We believe quality must be built in from the beginning, which is why all Ace-manufactured products begin with only the best components, fully inspected before entering production. Even in today's highly mechanized times, custom cable assemblies still involve a lot of precision handwork. Our production personnel and assemblers are accomplished specialists, and have been with Ace for over ten years.
