Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD – Ace Electronics Defense Systems, LLC has been awarded a prime contract under the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) ‘Cables Strategic Project’, to provide a broad range of cable assemblies to support DLA Aviation depots. This award is a small business set-aside, Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) with a two-year base performance period followed by three, one-year performance period options.
The Cable Strategic Project will replace numerous Governments transactional procurements for DLA depot stocked items to support the Warfighter more efficiently. The goal of DLA is to develop long term supplier relationships in an effort to decrease Administrative Lead Time (ALT), improve Production Lead Time (PLT) and improve material availability in a competitive environment. Ace was one of two awardees for this contract, which was evaluated for best value.
